Mark your calendars for the first “Innsbrook Nature Chautauqua” to be presented by the Innsbrook Nature Group (IBK’ng) on the afternoon of Sunday, June 5, from 1-3 pm at the Aspen Conference Center. Visiting Innsbrook to help present our inaugural program will be an ornithologist from the World Bird Sanctuary to help us learn about the Bald Eagles and other raptors that we share Innsbrook with. Next will be nature author and Webster-Kirkwood Times editor Don Corrigan who will profile the many natural assets we are so lucky to have across Missouri and what we can do to help preserve them for future generations to enjoy. Our final session will be a fun introduction to kayaking provided by a certified water sports instructor from the Alpine Shop. To learn more about the program, as well as the history of Chautauquas at rural communities and resorts across the country, visit https://ibknature.com/nature-chautauqua/ or stop by the IBK’ng informational table at the Innsbrook Memorial Day Party on Saturday, May 28.
Until then, be sure to check out all the great photos of our resident red fox family, and their den of young kits located just off an Innsbrook nature trail, at https://ibknature.com/gallery/wonderland-of-wildlife/.
