The Innsbrook Nature Group (IBK’ng) will host its first Innsbrook Nature Chautauqua this Sunday, June 5, from 1-3:30 pm in the Sycamore meeting room of the Aspen Conference Center. We are so excited to have three guest presenters accepting our invitation to visit Innsbrook to participate in our inaugural program.
Leading off the afternoon will be an ornithologist from the World Bird Sanctuary who will bring along a number of live raptors, including an eagle and hawk, to help us learn how to maintain a healthy habitat at Innsbrook for these magnificent birds. Next up will be our feature presentation from nature book author and Webster-Kirkwood Times editor Don Corrigan who will profile the many natural assets we are so fortunate to have in Missouri and what we can do to preserve the Show Me state’s environment for future generations to enjoy. Our final session will be a family-friendly introduction to and demonstration of kayaking and paddle boarding provided by Simon Hile, a certified water sports instructor from the Alpine Shop.
The event is open and free for all property owners, visitors, and guests. To learn more about the event, as well as the history of Chautauquas at other rural communities and resorts like Innsbrook across the country please visit https://ibknature.com/nature-chautauqua/ or email firstname.lastname@example.org. A final reminder that we will be raffling off the Innsbrook Nature Lover’s Gift Box displayed at the recent Memorial Day party and as shown below (a bat house is also included though not visible in this photo). See you on Sunday afternoon!
