Innsbrook is home to many varieties of trees that comprise the local forest ecosystem. While much of rural Warren County was logged to bare ground during the early 1900’s, there are still numerous old trees of over one hundred years in age scattered around the community. On this new page that is still under construction we hope to capture these forest elders and profile changes to their health over the years to come. If you have a favorite tree, please share it with us by sending a photo and its location to info@ibknature.com.
To start our collection, here is one of our favorite trees, a magnificent Sycamore, that can be found in a field along the Tyrolean Trail below Alpine Dam. To size the height of this giant, note the hiker and dog standing in the lower left corner!
